Phase IV - HVAC
(Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning)

HVAC: By way of Phase I & Phase II you reduce your A/C Load because a lot less heat is emitted from your Plug-Loads and Lighting. Phase III buttoned up your facility. So now it is time to address you HVAC since it can be properly sized to the new load profile.

HVAC: Now comes the opportunity to replace old, inefficient Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Equipment.

  • Programmable Thermostats.
  • Heaters should be upgraded to more efficient models.
  • Higher SEER A/C Units can be installed.
  • Variable Speed Drives may be employed.

Savings: The savings vary considerably and average weather conditions are used. In the case of mild Summers and Winters following improvements you would not save as much as predicted. In the case of extreme Summers and Winters you would save more than predicted.
